I was enticed to apply for an AMEX card under one year free scheme. They claim to be a "premium" brand and a "professional " organisation.
The card has very limited access and is not accepted by most of the shops.
My first issue came when I made the payment for the card through internet. They payment was not updated for the next 7 days and as per them it will take 24 to 48 "working" hours for updating payment. One working day is 8 hours and as per their terms it is 3 to 6 working days not considering the holidays, saturdays and sundays which they do not work.
Because of this I decided to go ahead with cancelling the card after one month of use. The request was made on 24 November and got the same cancelled.
But my bad luck continued even after canceling the card and they continued to harassment me with their sms, e-mails and mailers with much more fervour.
I had asked them to stop sending these on 29 november vide complaint no.10477204. the action was promised within 24 hours and still no action has been taken by this premium brand professional organisation.
Even after one month from the date of first complaint and further complaints later they still continue to harass me with their sms, e-mails and mailers.
Now I am seeking legal support on how to get this stopped and to get them penalised or for compensation.
