When I first saw Edward Norton in Primal Fear, I knew this dude was going places. I think that there is one great actor from generation to generation. From Gregory Peck, to Marlon Brando, to Robert De Niro, and now, the greatest actor of our generation, Edward Norton. Now when I saw this movie advertised, with Edward Norton being in it aside, I knew this movie was for me. I knew it would be the powerful movie that it is. Now, add in the fact that mr. Norton is in it, and there was no way I wasn’t gonna’ see this movie. I saw it, I loved it, I bought it on video, I watch it every time it comes on cable. It’s a very powerful and moving movie. Now, before you rent this movie, don’t be confused about it and think it’s about racism. It’s about Derek (Norton’s character) tearing his family apart due to his racist beliefs and violent lifestyle. And about how his brother is heading down the same path. Mr. Norton was nominated for an Oscar for this performane (which he was robbed of in my opinion). If you are offended by profanity, then definately stay away from this one. Otherwise, you should check this one out.
