American Idol is one amazing platform for the ’very’ talented artists in America (of course). What I cannot understand is why the Indian producers had to copy this? Can’t we come up with something original? Does it have to be an imitation of what goes on the foriegn countries? Whatever! It’s something we can’t help.
For those, who don’t know much about this show - It is very much like Indian Idol with Ryan Seacrest as the host (I’ll talk more about him later in the review, he’s my favourite), Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell as the judges and the contestants. Every week the contestants sing songs based on the theme assigned and the next day, one contestant has to leave the show (sad ’cause everyone seems so good).
Anyway, season five of american idol rocks. With the top six left in the show, the competition is worsening. Everybody is deadly talented and every performance blows you away. The ones left are Katherine, Kellie, Chris, Paris, Elliot and Taylor. I personally feel that Katherine or Chris will win the show.
Talking about Ryan Seacrest now. He is by far the best TV show host I’ve ever seen. Not to mention that he is awfully handsome. I love the way he picks on Simon who always makes negative comments (but now that the contestants are perfect, all he do is smile).
