Kyunki SHAHENSHAH bhi kabhi LAL BADSHAH tha/hai..

I asked myself’Am I ready to face the brunt of Big B’s fans?’. Promptly came the reply’Chand mein bhi daag hotey hain’-(not a perfect translation is even moon has craters, that is what my science teacher told me 15 years back and since then I have been hearing this in 7 out of 10 Bollywood movies) resulting in the following compilation of A.B’s worst movies in the descending order of their dismal and bleak content.

It is a lackluster task to write a review on each of the entries in my list. Hence, thank your stars when I skip their details ‘coz u don’t want to know them  (what a relief) but I can’t help my comments which flow due to the agony.

Ajooba:( with Rishikapoor, Dimple, Sonam) This movie tops my list because it has ……? Nothing. The film is set in an ancient era and Amitabh is a prince who comes to know about his identity at the end . And you know how? By accomplishing the task of pulling out a sword which no one else could do in past. Everything is pathetic in this movie.Son pari serial is much better.

Toofan: Meenakshi, No Comments pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze

Jaadugar: Amrita singh, Amrish, Jayaprada  Amitabh ka jaadu bhi yahaan naheen chala .(sigh) Its even painful to know that Prakash Mehra who has given various hits like Laawaris, Zanjeer, Muqaddar ka siqandar, Sharaabi, Namak Halal still didn’t know what suits Big B.

Ganga Jamuna Saraswati: Jaya prada, Meenakshi, Mithun - Prefer to go and view the rivers rather than the movie anyday.

Aaj ka Arjun:Jaya Prada and Radhika I just remember the song-“Gori hai kalayiyaan, tu laadey mujhey hari hari choodiyaan.” and the final fight scene where Amit ji carries a crocodile(a poor and obvious imitation of  real one) on his back .

Lal Badshah:(amitabh in double role) Manisha, ShilpaShetty, Amrish Puri-Doubles the agony. He should have seriously considered his role and the actresses with whom he is acting(half of his age).

Mrityudaata: Dimple, Karishma Kapoor: Full points to Mrityudand movie in comparison to this movie.

Hindustan ki kasam: Ajay devgan, Sushmita, Manisha, Prem Chopra. Veeru Devgan’s directorial venture went unnoticed . This proves that star cast is not the only thing that helps your movie to be a hit. Movie has to be sensible.

Aks**: Nanditha Das, Manoj Bajpai: A weird intolerable transformation ….from A.B to M.B and back to a.b(notice the change in the case).

Badey Miyaan Chotey Miyaan: Govinda, Raveena, Ramya, Anupam, : this entry would have raised many eyebrows but I just can’t accept Amit ji doing such a slapstick comedy.  Can’t digest the ‘Ay chotey…Ay bade….” kind of dialogues. Better leave such roles to Govinda and Sanjay Dutt(it won’t hurt as much then).

The list still continues and includes movies like Kohraam, Sooryavansham, Insaniyat, Indrajeet, ….but  unfortunately(read it fortunately) I don’t have anything to say about it-can’t think of a comment as well.

One should definitely not overlook the good entertainment Amit ji has provided all these years. Even great people make mistakes and who knows if he was so selective about his roles then we wouldn’t have got to see his other low-profile films that turned out to be great hits ……

His good work(films) outweigh the impact created by his other not so welcoming movies. Recently got to know that a movie named “Rishta “ is in the pipeline starring Aamir Khan as well….We wish all the best to these two tycoons of bollywood industry.

Come on Bollywood, Kar lo duniya(Hollywood) muthi main…
