Have been using Listerine for a while and for a change bought AMPM Plus mouthwash.
As I opened the bottle I found a mosquito parked under the bottle cap. Was shocked to find the mosquito using the mouthwash, unless it was placed by the company for therapeutic purpose.
I tried sending mails to the company’s listed addresses (corporate@elderindia.com; cpd@elderindia.com) but they all bounced back.
I called their Mumbai Branch and was asked to leave my number for their Division Manager (Mr. Pawan- pawanp@elderinida.com) to get back, which he did and took down my details like Name, Age, Education, Job Profile, how many bottles of AMPM had I bought till date, etc etc etc which I beleive was irrelevant. Mr. Pawan informed me that the Quality Control Division was not internal but some third party and agreed that such a blunder was unacceptable also because this is meant to be a HEALTH CARE PRODUCT. He assured he would let me know about the findings and someone from the Higher Management would get back. I had sent him the pictures of the AMPM bottle with Mr Mosquito on 1st July 2008, but haven’t heard from him or his company again.
I ask all MSian fellow mates. Stay away from elder products, cause looks like elder does not have stringent quality control checks.
