AMRITSAR- WORTH VISITING

Last week my family n me went to amritsar. As you know AMRITSAR is not very far from LUDHIANA, it took us 3 hours by car. The trip wasnt very comfortable but I enjoyed.

We first went to the GOLDEN TEMPLE. It is known as HARMINDER SAHIB in punjabi.Cars are not allowed at a distant so we took rickshaws.ALREADY IN ADVENTURE (yes the road was bumpy and the rickshaw what do I say.It was built by sikh legend BABA BUDHA JI and completed by sikh guru, GURU ARJAN DEV JI. AMRITSAR has got long history with this temple.

The complete temple consists of many buildings .The main is where the GURU GRANTH SAHIB lies (GURU GRANTH SAHIB IS THE HOLY BOOK OF SIKHS). It is completely made of gold. The others are ment for people who want to stay there. One of them is a museum on sikh history. In the middle there is a steam of holy water. It is believed that taking bath in this water cures you from all sins (I DIDNT I’M FREE FROM SINS)

THE BEST THING ABOUT IT IS EVERY THING IS COMPLETELY MANAGED UNLIKE OTHER HOLY PLACES (it may be due to religious and spiritual feelings or the arrangement of guards)

Near to the temple is the JALLIANWALA BAGH.It is the place where thousands of people lost there lives as GENERAL DYAR ordered firing. We even saw the well where the people fell to avoid the bullets.

The next spot that we drop was the famous WAGHA BORDER. As u know AMRITSAR shares its border with PAKISTAN. What an experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There we saw the cultural programmes.performed by artists of both countries.

Since it was one day trip we reversed back home and reached safely by 7.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!1
