Amsterdam - Ian McEwan

The ethical issues raised by Ian McEwan in this novel - focusing on political views, freedom of choice, sexuality and media coverage - remain highly relevant and timely, and this novel is more I guess I have to admit that it deserves to be considered one of the better, you should read McEwans. But his endless frustration with him is perfectly expressed in Amsterdam.I absolutely hate his ending. Most of the time they look constructed, abrupt and somewhat intentional.Would my relationship with McEwan’s novels be more frenetic if the sympathetic Norm of the Book would rip out his last ten pages from his oeuvre? As it stands.
