Once again, It was 2004 May, I got my travel visa from consulate general of mumbai to visit Netherlands. It was my friend who invited me to stay with their family for few days.
I was new for me in Air Travel, tavelled by British Airways, and first hault was in London Heathrow terminal and then moved around here and there and finally got the connection flight to fly to Amsterdam schipol. When I landed there, I saw my host waiting at the reception area.
It was 2 hours and 30 mins journey to reach my host home, located in Oud vossemeer an hour distance from Belgium. I liked their family and the people were so friendly and every time when they see you, whether they know you or dont know. still they greet with a word ’’hoi’’ and ’’doi’’ means hi and bye.
We had visited to North sea Beach, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, den haag and texel. I would say weather in netherlands is amazing and the roads were neat and clean, people were friendly what more you want?
you have to speak in Dutch, atleast few words. If you speak in English they are little scared that we are from alien. so I would recommend people who would like to visit netherlands to learn a few words in dutch.
I will defenetly, take my wife and kids again. I missed the flower show which is very famous. Hope next time I plan it properly. I would recommend this trip to bachelors, married couples with their family.
