In the beginning Amul started with only dairy products like milk, ghee and butter. Slowly and gradually they have increased different products.
But the quality it used to be earlier, do we get the same now? If we consider only Amul Ghee then we can see there is a change in labeling and price but is there a change in the quality too?.
Well, different people has different opinion. If you ask someone who belonged to older generations then they will say that earlier the quality used to be good and day by day it is deteriorating. Now the point is how do we measure that because verbal verdict cannot be accepted as truth.
Different companies uses the modern techniques of quality measurement and maintenance like ISO, ISI, Bharat Stages etc. But we have never seen AMUL incorporating any such methods for quality assurance. Does that mean, AMUL sales doesnt get affected with quality or they are so much confident that no such quality measures are necessary enough to assure the customers. But by looking at the products sales, specially the butter, it seems that AMUL doesnt care of anything. Whatever be the situation I believe people are the best judge to decide whether they will continue with having AMUL products or they will shift to other competitor brands.
