As a prior Amway representative I can honestly say Amway has some of the best products out there with regards to network marketing companies.
However, due to the long history of branding issues it is extremely difficult to build an Amway business in the US market. Most of Amways growth is due to international expansion.
The compensation plan pays out on a sliding scale from 3% to 25% based on sales volume for a distributor and his or her downline.
The stairstep breakaway compensation plan model is probably one of the most challenging plans to build since it requires a tremendous amount of effort due to the breakaway feature incorporated with each leg.
To be profitable, distributors must build 6 legs simultaneously, and since Amway does not allow internet marketing, this requires guerrilla marketing tactics to be used(very time consuming).
I highly recommend buying Amway products from distributors, but would not recommend building this business unless you can put in 40+ hours a week and dont mind driving hundreds of miles on a weekly basis.
