released in december 1970, this film marked an mature n innovative bollywood which surprized the hollywood to coz of its innovative imaginativeness.
this movie had mesmerized not only the bollywood but, in fact hollywood to was in maze by seeing such a classical example from a country which they level as of producing long movies full of songs.
a famous maxim says" death z most painfull of all pains".
by thinking of dieing we all became frenzzzzzy
we ordianry people had good inclination for the above maxim to believe over it.
but, can we immagine a person who knows he z going to die.yet z very positive zeal
well before that sum storyline formalities(yet I strongly believes that most of u had really watched this movie at least once in life)
-anand sehgal ie kaka z sufferring from cancer n he has just 5-6 months left
-bhaskar banergee ie amitabh z a doctor whoz very frustrated wid real life adversity
so anand decides to visit the city of bombay to full intensity n this movie z all about his attitude n effect over bhaskar as well as other character like prakash ieramesh deo, his wife, renu etc
this movie gives a mesage of living life wid purpose not just living for the sake of spenting more n more years on the earth.
anad strongly portrays "zindagi badi honi chaiyee lambi nahin"this movie was having serious cinema touch wid commercial cinema aspect

personally this was the movie which make me glued eyed.for the first time I weeped for rajesh khanna dieing(as a child I was die hard fan of amitabh n his actions.i was not expecting amitabh to cry for annad instead was xpecting he ll make him alive:)
anand was in habbit of making friends.his lines "aadmi jaise aone dost khud chun leta hai waise agar apne ristedaar bhi chun sakta was simply touching n serious
this movie strengthen the bond of friendship
this movie had clearly justified frank capra’s lines-tragedy z not wen actors cry, but wen audience cries.
really whole india since independence never wept for such a character as it weept for anand
the character of annad z simply directly touching to middle class people aspirations.
he was willing to reduce every ones tears yet he was unwilling to share his pains even wid bhaskar.i think was his characters strength.
I think if at that time indian cinema may be more mature as like todays then definitely this movie may had got more worldwide admirations n awards
at end I must say for this movie ellaboration can not be possibble wid only such words.
