PLOT
The story of the movie is about Vijay’s (Shahrukh’s) obsession of Shivani (Madhuri). Vijay is a wealthy man and his mother has raised him up, giving him whatever he asked for. This plays a consequence in the way he was brought up. When he meets Shivani who is a air hostess on a business trip, he instantly falls in love and MUST have her as his bride. His mother agrees to his wish, feeling very happy for him. When he arrives to Shivani’s house, knowing where she lived because he had come there before to ask if he could use her in his commercial, he finds out that her wedding is taking place to a pilot, Ashok. After this shocking moment, he can not remain normal. He can not accept this and he goes insane. Even after a few years, Shivani is living a happy life with her husband and her daughter, Pinky. Why Did I Watch This Movie?
I watched this movie mainly because I am a Madhuri Dixit fan and I have heard that it is a must see performance of Madhuri’s. I also watched it for Shahrukh Khan, being a fan of his acting. When I read different reviews for Anjaam, it really made me want to watch it, just because the plot seemed interesting.
Cast
Shahrukh as Vijay- Today, its hard to see Shahrukh to play an evil character, but he suceeded in making people hate the character he played.
Madhuri as Shivani- This has to one of her best performances ever. When you watch it, you will understand. You can see so much passion and talent in her as she takes on the challenging role she has never done before.
Was The Movie Able To Keep Me Glued To The Screen?
Yes!
If you are a Madhuri Dixit fan or a Shahrukh Fan, this has to be a movie you can not miss. Usually we want to compliment on their chemistry, but in this movie it is about hatred. They both play the conflicting roles very well. The story seemed pretty original, but the people who acted in this movie really gave the effect.
So be prepared to find out what Vijay and Shivani do as they meet eye to eye with so much desire. One- the desire to own, the other-desire to __________.
