After a long time I planned a movie with my spouse.When I checked out the DT centerfold I could see several flicks released this past Friday and guess which one I opted for...? LoLz! No marks for guessing it’s Anjaana Anjaani coz’ 1stly it’s the section i’m posting my review under and 2ndly it’s a perfect Rom-Com a couple could enjoy this week. About: Directed by Siddharth Anand, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Zayed Khan.
Music composed by Vishal-Shekhar, who have composed the music for all of Siddharth’s three films in the past.The movie is about Ranbir (Aakash) and PC (Kiara) both planning to end their lives because the former lost everything in the Stock Mkt crash and the latter lost everything in Love. They meet @ the Swee-Side (read suicide) point and then try several times after their first fail with no success either.
A very good thing that this movie talks is about our new gen who want to end their precious lives with silly reasons like Academics, Love and Money.The two actually fall in love during their last trip to Vegas before they die. But all’s not easy for getting to the climax in a bolly-flick... they don’t admit and realise it the last day they had decided to end their lives. They get each other and live happily ever after :)
The movie has good sense of comedy, exotic locations and awesome performance by all stars. The 2nd half had lots of soundtracks however to some extent these were the need of the plot.Could give this movie a 4.5 rating and would recommend all lovers and newgen to sure watch it once. I could watch it again for sure!
