I am not directly associated with the Anna University. But the place where I work is close to it. As an academic I am familiar with its activities. It has introduced a lot of innovative improvements in admission to engineering courses by centralising it, counselling the students, and using computer technology to its best.
At a time when the oldest University in South India, that is, the University of Madras, with which I am directly associated, can only nostalgically hark back to its halcyon days, the presence of Anna University close-by should serve as a beacon to it.
Anna University is excellent in terms of its student intake, faculty, facilities, and campus. It is certainly on a definite onward march towards Excellence. I wish it wel
