College was founded in 1957 by Moulvi Abdul Razzack Saheb, Moulvi Jawahar Khan Saheb and Moulvi Nizamuddin Saheb with a view to provide value based holistic education. The UGC conferred Autonomy on the college in the year 1988. National Assessment and Accreditation council( NAAC) is visiting the college to accredit it.
Mission of the College is to strive to help students to develop into intellectually competent, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired patriotic citizens on India.
Anwarul Uloom has the distinction of being the first Muslim Minority college in the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad to implement Autonomy.
College is located in the heart of the city at Mallepally( Near Vijayanagar colony, Masabtank) . Campus area of 3+ acres with Siz impressive buildings with an built up area of 11550 sq m houses spacious classrooms, laboratories, library, reading rooms and conference halls.
Courses
The College is a Muslim Minority College, 50% of the seats are reserved for Muslim minority Students. As per the directives of the Government of AP.
All the undergraduate courses are offered as Six Semester courses each with 90 working days and internal assessment followed by an end semester examination. Practical Papers to be examined only at the year end
