Hello guyz/galz,
ASL please..
This is unfortunately the first instant message you get one you land in any chat room!. The netizens look for nothing other than age, sex, location and well its a open secret that he is PRIMARILY looking for gender and location, age doesnt bother him. To be frank to say the internet has only made our way of talking to strangers/elders more crispy and difficult. Where is that Argumentative Indian Nature?!...we traditionally used to question many things when an issue is raised and we used to be very elaborative and sometimes boring too!! in nature but the tech. made us talk small and short without actually conveying the actual message.
yaaa agreed. The new technology, for sure makes excellent friends right from china in the east to america in the west, but, is the friendship reliable? is it trustworthy? can you understand him without actually meeting him?! and sometimes without seeing him/her? well can you believe if he says he is from far far canada? whereas he might be staying very next to your room? can you ever share file/pic/webcam with him, who knows he might be a hacker just trying to peep into your credit card number or trying to retreive important files from your desktop PC?!.....So the entire motive of the ever expanding chat rooms is ever debatable.
Opinions and counter-opinions continue over the effective use of technology...let me share my view point. Well I rarely go for chatting particularly to those porn/ads filled chat rooms but even if I do sometimes I get mostly messages from bots (those are robots planned and postioned by wicked advertisers to grab your IP address once you click them!! ohh god! you might be wondering right, but thats how the chatrooms generate their revenue, afterall noboby ever gives a FREE service. Now I dont need say what happens once he gets youe IP number. He can as well find your city location and sometimes your phone number too and tap it..well those are security issues, leave them aside, sorry for digressing from the topic) asking to fill someform and a click and I am exposed to hackers!.....thats a different issue but even if a meet a person and talk to him for an hour...I can really cannot expect it to continue for more than a week and they everything becomes normal as he forgets and I too go on my search for a new friend and this continues!!!
I cant totally deny the fact that some of them really make good friends but it is miniscule percent when compared to those who dont. I strongly feel when you a meet a friend and see him eye-to-eye you will remember him and you try to associate him with some or the other identity and the friendship might probably blossom..
Now it is for you, my dear friends to decide whether I am partially correct or not, if not fully!...
I am open to bouquets and brickbats...please pour in your expert opinions..
(Hey I was only referring to chatting with unknown friends that too in a filthy chatroom! in my topic and sorry for not talking anything specific to AOL, excuse me)
