I had alot of high expectations when Aparachithan released...the songs, the trailer... I expected alot..when I got the movie....i jumped with joy....but after I watched the movie..it gave me alot of mixed feelings..
It is the story of three carefree college friends - Minu (Kavya Madhavan), Simi (Karthika) and Devi (Manya) - who keep landing in trouble. After one such incident where Devi, the leader of the trio, is caught red-handed trying to steal question papers on the eve of exams, they have to go underground to avoid facing their peers and families.
They take the help of Chacko (Vineeth Kumar), Simi’s fiancé, who arranges their stay with a woman psychiatrist, who is also an expert in ’’tantrik’’ mysticism, in an isolated house. Fresh trouble begins there. The landlady chases the girls out, saying a wandering soul is following them.
Then Chacko takes the help of his friend Vinod Varghese (Siraj), who promises to take them to a guesthouse in some forest range, but their bus meets with an accident and they are compelled to walk in the wild.
There they meet a mysterious wildlife photographer, Raghuram (Mammooty), who turns their lives upside down.
the second half is horrible, A.K.Sajan’s script is a lot of mumbo-jumbo and is obviously inspired from a couple of Hollywood ghost thrillers. there were alot of loopholes in the script..the comedy track with Jagathi and Machan Varguhese was horrible...
this movie only worked because of Mammooty and he excelled in the role of Raghuram
out of the girls..i really liked kavya madhavan..she looks gorgeous and has developed a good presence..Manya was good as devi from her typical roles....karthika looked like manya and kavya’s aunty..her costume..her hair...she looks like a aunty...she was sidelined also..nothing great about her performance...
Vineeth Kumar..though he looks good..has to be careful choosing roles....nobody will remember him after watching this movie...and the other guy..who the hell was he?? I knew he was some model but, he is ugly and a dumb actor...
its a strictly okay movie to watch, if you jus finished cheating in your exams and have nothing else to do....otherwise, ..there is nothing magnificent about this movie
