Reviewing two kinda movies is really an ardous task....First- A Brilliantly crafted movie where u’ve to literally dig deep into the movie to look-in some loophole in some corner or other, and second one is an idiotic, insanity-personify and baseless movie from tip 2 toe where U’ll think writing some thing abt the movie is sheer wastage of Time and Money.Apna Sapna Money Money (ASMM) falls in ................ category. Just Read on to know that:
EXPECTATIONS:If promos were some indication then this flick should be a gud time pass entertainer with usual below the belt humor, which has made Kya Kool Hia Hum "KKHH" (by the same Director Sangeeth Sivan) a Winner. Although the Director tried hard to repeat his success formula and carving his niche amongst renowned Comedy directors by again presenting Sex-Comedy , but he fails miserably in his second attempt. Although this movie did’nt had that many so called Sex-Driven comic scenes as were present in KKHH but also the comic timing was missing between the main protaganists, no real sequences where u feel like laughing, no gud songs....nothing.
BASIC PLOT:Off-late this is a kinda trend in Bollywood that just make a confused plot with dozens of characters and keep creating situations where all the characters will keep on banging their heads on some silly thing. Same trick was used in this latesht waanabe "Rib Tickling Comedy". But Unfortuantely the story writer, editor, Director and each n every artists of this movie were confused to such an extent that even if they wud have broken their Ribs making u laugh, u won’t compliment. First of all the title of the movie was entirely wrong and misinterprate the essence of the movie (there is hardly any essence.....though). Money in form of Diamonds comes only in the beginning and climax of the movie with few glimpses here n there thru-out the length of the movie. The Story basically revolves around the character played by Shreyas Talpade and his cousin Ritesh Deshmukh. The story starts off weakly, becomes crippled near half-time, goes into coma after Interval and sinks into Untimely death at the end leaving audience gasping for breath.
ACTING PROWESS: As I already told u guys there r dozens of characters in the movie but no acting Prowess as such. To start with...Rajpal Yadav, Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff...........Wat happened to u Guyz....u can’t do this kinda roles in the movie unless u’ve gone Nuts...beleive me all these actors should wipe off their respective roles from their memory slate. Otherwise the ghost of this movie will haunt their upcoming ventures too. All the three beauties had nothing to do in the movie with center stage has been taken by Koena. But all in all nothin’ to talk abt these ladies. They can’t act that we knew already, but here they did’nt looked sizzling on the screen either. Anupam Kher has again shown that after doin’ all the critically acclaimed stuff and brilliant jobs onscreen he takes break here and there. This movie is one of them where he actually is taking break and doin’ wat the Captain of the sinking Ship asked him to do. I don’t have any problem with u ANupam jee....U r far better actor than wat U actually shown here. Chunkey Pandey....plz go back to ur self imposed(or compelled) exile.Shreyas Talpade was undoubtedly wasted here. After doin’ two of classic roles( In Iqbal and DOR) he tried his hands in first of Commercial Cinema but to his bad luck he has to burn his hands literally and figuratively beacuse this movie is not goin’ to do any gud to his career. I hope it’ll not tarnish his image, either. The ace amongst this pack of cards was none other than Ritesh Deshmukh. Once again he has done a decent job within his limitation. And beleive me he really looked sweeter than alll the feamle leads in the movie when he was in Female-getup.
SONGS, MUSIC: "Dil me baji Guitar" was gud one. Its soothing to listen to real successor of Great Kishore Kumar i.e Amit Kumar in this song. Its real pity that nowadays music Directors are not using this natural talent. Apart from this song, there is no other song actually to rave abt and even to talk abt in the movie. Jai- Jai MOney was used as a Backgrouond score and Title Track was played after the movie.
GIST: U r out n out winner if u manage to hold ur seats upto the end of the movie (I was the one). Its said that its better if U leave ur Brains at home while watching this kinda movie, but believe me even if u do that , still there r chances of mental breakdown.
MY VERDICT: There was hardly any need of giving such a lengthy name to the movie , one word was enough....................................................... "CRAP"
