On Jan 22, 2015 I decided to buy Apollo Munich Health Insurance for my Family, I called up the number on their web site 1800-103-0555. I gave all the information that was asked, they sent me back a documents with the details that I had just given them and all the details was proper. I paid through Credit Card and the policy was issued.
When I opened soft copy of the Policy Document I see that my address is wrong. City isKundapura instead ofBangalore. I immediately called them up to the same number and told them the address is wrong. Soon the blame game started. Since the policy is already issued they asked me to contact the customer care number thats 1800-102-0333.
I called up the customer care number and told the same. The customer care person asked to fill up a change request form and send it across. I sent it immediately but it takes them 4 days [Jan 27th] just to acknowledge that complaint.
On Jan 28th I get a mail that my policy is dispatched. Worried that policy would go to the wrong address I called the customer care again. The customer care executive speaks so rudly as if it was all my mistake.
If this is the experience even before getting the policy documents into my hands I wonder how will the rest of the experience would be should I ever have to make a claim.
I am no way going to renew this policy next year. Please teach your executives to speak properly to your customer. Its our money that pays their salary.
I would never ever suggest this insurance policy to anyone else.
