I’ve been using the Apple iPad Air 2 ( Wi-Fi + Cellular, 16GB) for a while now, and even though it’s an older model, it continues to impress with its elegant design and reliable performance.
Performance:
Powered by the A8X chip and 2GB RAM, the iPad Air 2 handles most daily tasks with ease. Browsing, video streaming, online classes, document editing, and light app usage run smoothly. It’s not made for heavy gaming or multitasking with modern apps, but for regular use, the performance is still surprisingly stable.
Even today, apps like Safari, YouTube, Zoom, Google Docs, and Netflix work well — although newer versions of some apps may not be supported due to iOS limitations. The device is still responsive, with fluid touch input and clean animations.
Display & Build Quality:
The 9.7-inch Retina display is sharp, bright, and offers excellent color accuracy. Watching movies or reading is truly enjoyable. It has a slim, lightweight aluminum body, which feels premium in the hand. The build is solid, and the design still looks modern and classy.
Battery Life:
Battery life is quite good — around 8 to 10 hours on average use, which is more than enough for a full day of work, study, or entertainment. Charging speed is decent with the original adapter.
Storage:
The only drawback is the 16GB internal storage, which fills up quickly if you install too many apps or store videos/photos. Using cloud storage like iCloud or Google Drive can help manage this issue.
Cellular Feature:
The Wi-Fi + Cellular option is very useful if you travel a lot or need internet access on the go. The SIM slot supports 4G, and network reception is quite reliable.
Final Verdict:
If youre looking for a budget-friendly iPad for basic to moderate tasks, the iPad Air 2 still delivers — with premium build, great display, and decent performance. Just be mindful of the 16GB storage limit. A great choice for students, travelers, or casual users.
