Apple has done it again with the iPhone 7 Plus, a phone that’s as powerful as it is controversial. In benchmarks, it’s more powerful than any Android flagship phone; in camera tests it wows with 2× optical zoom and sharp photos; and it’s finally water resistant. There’s just one little problem: it doesn’t have a headphone jack. Its a concession to battery life. The higher the density, the more resources it takes to push the pixels. Its a bummer for things like virtual reality, but Apple hasnt chosen to engage with that yet. So, for now, it only really affects people like us who are spec geeks. But we are not the mass-market. Most people dont know or care. The screen is dense enough for them.
