Is this really a value for money phone?

Okay, let me get one thing straight, this iPhone SE is not for those peoples who wants fancy features like bezel less display, big screen, quad camera setup, ultra wide camera, wireless charging, full body ratio. This just upgraded performance version of old iPhone 8. If you hold this phone in your hand for the first time, it feels like you are holding a Apple iPhone 8. I could not find much of a difference when comparing to IPhone 8. Needless to say that the size and display are the same of iPhone 8 and of course there is zero negative comments for the A13 chip. It is the same iPhone 8 with an A13 chip and the generation updates a smart phone can get in 2020.

First of all we will talk about battery it has 1821 mAh battery. the phone charging capability as it is taking a lot more time a smart phone can get charged in this 2020. Almost took an hour to reach 30% of charge and hence 3-4 hours to fully charged. Also because it’s 2020, Apple still bundles 5W chargers in the box(we are in a game of fast charging, LoL)

There are things it could’ve done better:

  1. Battery is barely adequate for a day of moderate usage(at least we need 3500 mAh)

  2. The bezels could have been reduced to have more screen to body ratio.

  3. Night mode for the camera was a software feature that the A13 could smoothly implement, ultra wide camera setup

  4. Fast charging or wireless charging.

We will miss the gestures, like switch between apps since the Touch-id is back in 2020, after launching iPhone X and 11 series. The bezel feels like using an old phone, not a brand new that just unboxed. We can see a 40k rupees phone with triple camera setup, wide angle, 90 hz display, 4000 mAh battery, but SE lacks this. That is not making The iPhone SE special.

Instead of paying 40k-43k for a phone that looks and feels outdated, I personally go with any Android phone in market between the price ranges.

Since it’s the phone that’s been getting all the hyped as the budget phone on India, it is not the phone on worth the hype. Well, it might be the value for money iPhone, but it is definitely not a special phone. But if you want the nostalgia of simpler times, the performance of a flagship device, and are not averse to carrying a power brick/bank with you, this one is for you
