The Apple IPod has been a heartthrob for people who have been close to music and enjoyed its quality.Apple incorporated granetd a boon To people who were close to music. But with a small hitch. They were close to a whole collection of music which they wanted to access witha few simple swipes and clicks.Apple Launshed the Ipod Classic 160 GB version . The classis Ipod syncs with Itunes 7 or later and is quite quick on data access if connected on a USB2.0 port of a PC. The device is a litl heavy.
But I felt that point could be brushed off the shoulder for the fact that it actually held loads of data and the cons are a fair exchange for the pros of the device. The IPOD classic 160 Gb comes with the same screenas the 80 gb and the 120 gb.The screen is quite big for short videos and one would have to strain a litl too much to watch a typical english movie at a stretch(typically 1 hr and 45 mins). The device is an excellent travel companion .You would never run out of songs for atleast three to four days at a stretch.
Battery life: The device can play upto 8 hrs of music or 4 hrs of video.Personally I feel this is a good stretch without a deter in the sound quality. The recharge would take a hour and a half if connected on a PC Note:It Is safer to charge ur device on a PC to prevent damage to the device due to power surges from direct current.(Specially in india)
The pros of the IPOD include its very huge storage:160 GB(for people who are trying hard to imagine wat goes into it) here are the statistics Typically it can hold up to
20, 000 or 40, 000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format2
Holds up to 25, 000 iPod-viewable photos3
Holds up to 100 hours or up to 200 hours of video4 Music Quality:
I dont think I need to speak for apple and its music system.
The technology incorporated speak bundles for itself. The sound quality in just too good.Stereophonic sound tracks actually blow ur head off. Overall:Its an excellent device allfound. If you are that much into music and storage.the device is teh best you can lay your hands on.The price is a little on teh higher side. But trust me people. Its worth it.I have a collection of music which runs into a solid 200 Gb.i have it partly on my laptop and IPOD. Teh flexibility provided to me by the IPOD 160Gb is way beyond explaination.
Cons(I bet you were looking for these):The device uses hard disk based storage and not electronic chip based.
And of track switching one can feel a slight vibration from the device. 2) if you drop it once.even from a feet. You can expect a decline in its life expectency.A simple scratch on a disk platter could ruin a lot of data.Apple claims to have found a shock proof solution for its device. But lets face it.watever technology has is nothing compared to natural calamities. So hold it firmly people. I hope this review has given u a broad outlook on the device.Comments and sugesstions are highly appreciated!
