A new Experience

I was gifted a 8gb one this B’day and will review this one without the price in mind.

Pros:

1. Great Sound: Okay lets move on as thats expected...

2. What and interface!!! It’s surely bound to replace your cellphone(unless you know an I-phone that is) as the gadget has enough reasons for you to play around with it.

Each time you’re tempted to get your hands on it just to experince the brillance of the touch screen and the probably the most intelligent, sophisticated yet very simple interface. Even if you don’t chose to buy it try using/experincing the Touch screen and it will surely leave you spellbound.

3. Wi-fi: I haven’t tried this part as yet, but the thought of access your emails, surfing and also a seperate section to access stocks/finance is quit amazing.

4.Design: Its got the "WoW factor". I really wish I had an Iphone or at least I understand the rush behind it. Its gorgoeus and at points youre tempted to pass it off as your Iphone. Its the usual adjectives one uses for an Iphone- sleek, stylish, handy. A nice classy polished sliver metallic finish at the back.

5. Nike+iPod - Haven’t used this stuff obviosuly but puts convergence very neatly. Basically a sensor is mapped to your shoe and once its located itouch could caluclate the no. of calories you’ve burnt, distance travelled. You coudl design your own workout plans and set targets expected. Its also keeps a track of your past workouts. Interesting Utility

6. Video: It way better than to watch it on a 2.5in screen.(This one is 3.5in) Watch movies on your long boring journey.

7. Games: Need some for unearthing here but initial feed seems quit positive. Excited about using the tilt feature which means that you just tilt the iphone around to control directions.

Another small but interesting feature: Open the calculator in the usual vertical mode and its your standard calculator. Turn the device horizontal and wholla it changes to a scientific calculator. No great innovation in technology here but quite smart presentation I thought.

Cons:

Itunes: Its ain’t a great suite and its not the easiest to navigate around. For christ sake a simple drag model would just work fine. And no its not about how tech savvy you are. It just ain’t an easy software.

No FM: DARN

Price: @ Rs 15, 000 I’d buy a Sony Erricson Phone. Probably a cybershot phone with 2-3.2 mp with 2gb or higher capacity. SE phones dare I say have sound quality on par with an Ipod. Bundled with their great camera and for christ sake a phone I guess one could shift his choice.

In a nutshell, do try and experience the iTouch. It’ll leave you spell bound. Try and pick up a phone instead for obvious other utilities.
