The sound quality is good as usual.
Control of the sound cannot be done externally, You need to log in, to control volume or music that is being played.
Video
-The video quality depends on how your ipod video converter settings are made. It is really a great experience towatch videos/movies in this.
Picture Viewer
The picture viewing tool is toooo good. The resolution will be brough down when it is stored in your ITouch, But with the size of the screen you will get a really good experience viewing and zooming the pictures.
Browser
I did not get a chance to get into the wifi network. So no comments on this
Other applications:
The calendar application is very good, But with the original software you will not be able to add events. If you apply the patch firmware 1.1.2 then you will be able to add events.
Clock application is also very useful, It contains stopwatch, timer, alarm, and world clock.
You can sync the contact details from outlook to your ipod, which I feel is a great feature.
*PRICE
*In India it is over priced, Apple showroom in Bangalore is charging around 18.5 K for the 8 GB version.
If you can get it imported from a tax exempted country then that is going to be a best buy.
*Future
*Apple have announced that they will be releasing patch for adding additional applications. Once that is done your Ipod will be as useful as a PDA.
Or If you are ready to jailbreak(which will void your warranty) then you can add any number of applications that are available in the internet.
