I purchased a Mac Book pro laptop couple of years before from Ample Technologies, the authorized Apple Sales & Service center @ Forum Mall, Bangalore.
A month before I went to upgrade the OS. They came back to me after 4 days that the Hard disk was gone. The battery may also to be replaced. I was upset and having no option I asked them to replace Hard disc and paid(~ 10 K) for the same. I was also informed the original Hard Disc will cost me more and asked whether I am okay for seagate. After exactly a month, today they called me and said Battery is not fitting into the laptop case, as it got bulged. How could it happen, within a months time, they don;t have an answer. After 30 min of discussion, when I asked them to replace it, they coolly said, pls come and pay Rs.10, 290/- for battery, raise a new ticket and then we will process the battery replacement and will be done 3 working days. When I requested them to replace the battery and deliver the laptop, they said their Policy wont allow it(sucks, what policy is that.have they followed any policy of ontime delivery, proper communication, etc., ?!. I can just ask the question, but have no other options than to go back to them for any future support.).
In spite of such a pathetic service, the support staffs at forum mall / RT Nagar(HO) is full of attitude. It is no brainer to understand this attitude from Ample, when they need to have 5 counters to address the waiting customers to be serviced.
God save us from these Proprietory products(Sony Apple, etc) service centers!
Lesson: Never ever buy Proprietory Products in India.
