I recently(June 2010) bought a Macbook mainly for iPhone application development. The Macbook definitely looks very sleek and the battery life is something very very mouth watering to have. The Operating system design is a typical apple product as they give more focus towards usability.
The MacBook I bought is on the lower configuration side with Core2Duo processor and 2GB RAM. It comes with a Nvidia graphics card of 256MB. The screen is only 13.3" and the weight is only 2.1 kg which makes it irresistible when it comes to portability.
But the only biting factor is the price. When you compare the equivalent PC variant, it comes to only 30000 whereas this is insanely charged at 51000!
For home purposes, I would recommend going for a PC either from HP or DELL, or if you’re a MAC freak planning to develop applications specific to Apple, then MacBook is a must have!
