I first purchased an Apple Powerbook about 1 1/2 Years ago and was in love with the looks at first and then with the graphic user interface. I am a photographer and own 2 digital Sony cameras. I use it to show my clients samples of photos that I take and the special effects that I can apply. I also use it for Desktop Publishing - Adobe Illustrator.
I have an Airport Card and surf the Internet from the end of my garden. It’s so small ( I have the 15’’ version & the 17’’ version) that I carry it around under my arm like a file - so light as it’s made of Titanium. If you want mobile computing for multimedia applications then there is no substitute.
I’ve recently purchased a Sony PD-170 camcorder that links up with the powerbook very well. I two Powerbooks, one E-mac and one i-mac. It’s so simple to network them together.
