We change lives
Is it a necessity to join computer Institutes. Are computer institutes a must for us to be computer literates. What do these so called Institutes give us other than their certificates.
Its a personal experience that I would like to share. The only aim of this Institute was to earn money. Have full batches at the start of the semester and empty classes months before the end of the semester so that a new batch can be introduced for a crash course and earn some extra bucks in that few months before a new official batch can commence.
On an average a diploma course costs any where between 30 to 40 grands, depending upon the Institute you have joined and the duration of the course, which on an average is somewhere around 1.5 to 2 years. You are promised the sky but in the end you realize that you have not even attempted to jump of the ground at the end of it. You are promised 100% practical training wich actually means that you will be getting on 10% of it.
Faculties are not professionals nor are they trained to give proper training. If you have a genuine doubt regarding a particular language and its tough for the faculty even then its point blank removed from the portion.
You are shown rosy pictures about having you enrolled in MNCs with a start salary of a 5 digit figure. But friends when you go for an interview you are judged on your calibre, understanding and knowledge about the lanquage or software and not on what was included in your portion for that particular semester.
In the end an individual has to expertise in that particular language to achieve a respectable position in the market. The certificates do not speak for you in the IT industry but its what you can give this industry that counts. And you shall be able to give the best if you have been trained properly. Trained to reason out things, to understand and do RND.
After utilising 2 years and around 40 grands if you are shown the door I feel its a waste of time and energy. It would be better to have a system at your residence and learn using books and interactive softwares.
Infact every software has its own Help which is indeed the gist of that software. Learning this way not only makes you a proactive learner but also makes you confident and makes you have an in depth awareness of that product.
So all you aspiring Software Engineers out there think again before you join a big name such as Aptech.....Specially Aptech Thane.
Its for you to decide. The balls in your court.
There shall be many updates with a bit more details from my side on this topic so stay connected.
