Araku is a very scenic hill station situvated about 120 kilometres away from the city of vizag . Well there are two ways you can come to this place usually . The first one is to take a train . ’ kirandul passenger ’ is the train which goes through araku and this starts at about 6 in the morning everyday . Now this train route is not like any other train route . This train goes through pleanty of caves and valleys amd climbs through a lot of twisted paths around the lush green mountains. This journey would be the beat train journey of your life. You cannot stop looking out of the window . So much of natural beauty all around you.

And the second thing you could do is take a bus or drive all the way till araku . The ghats of this place are just wonderful. You will literally feel like you are in munnar of kerla when you are driving here.

The food . well I would recommend to try the local food here . There are couple of places where people serve you some of the best local food in a typical old fashioned ambiance . And do try the local yet a famous dish called ’ bongu chicken ’ meaning bamboo chicken. This is a local dish where chicken is coated up with all spices and is stuffed in bamboo shoots and is cooked on coal . Trust me this has some amazing texture and flavour to it .

And if you are going to this place I would recommend to stay over here for the night just to see the sunrise or the early morning over here. Just book a good hotel for the night stay and enjoy the view. There are plenty of hotels which you can find online so dont worry.
