I bought a product from letsbuy.com and they shipped the item via the great Aramex courier. Soon after that, the frustration row has begun and there seems to be no end to it. The item was picked up by Aramex in Bangalore on the evening of 23rd Feb 2012 and today is 27 Feb 2012 (2149 Hrs) and the shipment hasnt reached me yet. The shipment reached Pune on 25th Feb and since then the status shows On hold. When customer care service was contacted they mentioned that the delay may have been due to a half day on Saturday and due to lack of staff in Pune on Monday. Funny, and frustrating...isnt it?
On being inquired about the contact number of Pune office, the customer care lady(from Mumbai) said - "They wont usually pick up the phone" and she was bang on! No one attended the call in Pune. Perhaps there is a lack of staff for attending a phone call as well here.
I am quite sure if the item was sent via snail mail, it would have reached me far earlier. Aramex, I think is the worst courier service I have come across. I am not sure about their other offices but Pune office seems to be totally unprofessional, and awful. They are conveniently holding a shipment for no reason for 2 days and not responding. If you readers send something urgent via these worthless people, your shipment might end up getting delayed for no valid reasons.
If Letsbuy continues to use Aramex as their courier partner, I will think twice before ordering anything further from this site.
