I ordered a product from tradus which was shipped via aramex on 31-Aug-12 from Gurgaon to Hyd. The product was picked up on the same day and as an ’Overnight Parcel’ shipment. Although that fancy name indicates that the package would be delivered the next day but the reality is something different. It was picked up on 31st but did not reach Hyderabad till 3rd Sep. On 3rd the status of tracking reflected as Out for delivery, however the product never got delivered on that day. Next day, i.e. today again the status is reflecting as Out for delivery however the package has not been delivered and I have no hope that I will receive the package even today. I have provided an office address and it is already close to closing time for us. The customer care of aramex is stupid. There is no customer care after 6 PM and during the time of their availability they are of no help either.
They will simply tell u the same status that you can yourself track on the aramex website i.e. it is out for delivery and will be delivered today. They have no idea of the ground situation and will make fake promises to you about the delivery. I called customer care today and was promised that I would get a call back from the delivery person in 30 minutes however as you may have guessed, no one ever called back. I would like to know why the product is not being delivered if it is out for delivery since two days in a city like hyderabad. In two days DHL ships from India to the US. Shame for Aramex.
I would recommend to avoid all future business with aramex simply because they are unprofessional, do not deliver on time, make fake promises and have almost zero customer service. Local service providers like first flight and dtdc are much better. Avoid at all costs.
