Recently in my town twochain restaurants have shut down. Hardees and Shoneys. They both had been around for several years but all of a sudden they close down.
I can see why Hardees did, though. The restaurant had the windows tinted so it always looked closed so I suppose no one went to it.
There also was a restaurant, Bojangles, that closed down abruptly, as well. Although I am not sure if it is considered a chain restaurant because I have not seen another Bojangles elsewhere.
Friendlys came to town only a few years ago but the service has dropped tremendously and Im thinking they may close as well.
The food at all places were quite good but the service at both Hardees and Bojangles went down for a long time and never got back up to being good.
Bottom line, big chain restaurants such as Apple Bees, T.G.I.Fridays and Outback Steakhouse will always make it, but smaller chains may not do so well if there are other larger, more popular competition!
