Its got nothin 2 do with being afraid,or the dark!

Are you afraid of the dark? Well this being the books title has really nothing to do with the plot at all!

Well the plot is really a very standard absolutely typically Sidney Sheldon one. What I mean is that there is the usual series of murders and even though it’s not supposed to be apparent, but they ARE connected in an ‘eerie‘way! So here we have four such murders, one each in New York, Denver, Paris and Berlin. All the deceased were employees of the world’s largest think-tank – ‘Kingsley International Group’, and that is the connection.

The book’s written in a standard Sidney Sheldon manner in which the unraveling of the plot is intertwined (rather well) with each character’s story from his early childhood to the present; which is never explained at a stretch , but through the character’s memories and experiences as and when the current situation demands!

Much of the book is about the widows of two victims, who are brought together by fate, and are forced to stick by one another when they realize that they are being targeted.

From then on, they’re constantly on the run, and escape death rather narrowly on many occasions. They’re always being watched. To exemplify how I’ll write you a statement that is probably in every Sidney Sheldon book- ‘ XYZ grabbed a few bills from her purse, paid the man at the counter and walked out. The man behind the counter picked up his cellular and placed a call‘. See what I mean? 

But one thing that’s different in this book that sort of disappointed me is that there are a few unnecessary subplots which have been conjured up to mess with the main one so the reader doesn’t smell a rat, but the effort is pretty see through! Most of the other Sidney Sheldons that I’ve read are perfectly planned and don’t have things getting in the way of the main plot to throw the reader off track since the main plot in itself is interesting enough to be able to do that!

So all in all, not a totally interesting and grasping piece of work! When u finish reding it u might feel that it was a little lame, unlike most Sidney sheldons!
