Area 51....the latest rage in pubbing in Pune. I went there on the pre-inauguration day as an invitee because i’m a member of Pancard Clubs on whose premises Area 51 is built. Been there a couple of times thereafter. Overall a good place....good food....classy interiors.....a little expensive......great music......a revolving upper deck(god alone knows why people get fascinated by revolving decks....I find them a waste of money).
As opposed it has a really tiny dance floor where not more than 50 people can actually ’dance’.....even 100 might fit but they woun’t be able to dance....all that they’ll be able to do is rub their bodies against one other like the so often seen sight in local trains in Bombay. Atop Area 51 operates only on Fridays and Saturdays and is shut the rest of the week...what crap. A night club/pub should be open all days. Heaven knows what they are thinking......i’d sure like to know......worth a single visit though.
