How u doin???
Yuvan Shankar Raja is back with his compositions and as always he has won with all his cards!! He certainly has tried something new in Arindum Ariyamalum his latest offing. Five songs and all well composed and recorded…..to still refer to him as the son of a maestro would be doing injustice to Yuvan (With all due respect to the maestro himself) but I feel that Yuvan has proved himself a wonderful music director with every release.
So here’s my review on the five songs…..surely worth a buy…..
KONJAM KONJAM:
When you first listen to this song, you will feel as if the tune has got familiarity with
an old tune...but as you get into the song Yuvan shows that he has the talent to compose wonderful tunes than to lift music from some other song. The singers are MAHEEVA & KAMMAT I would not call this song a peppy number but sure is good to listen to.....a combination of very good instruments...
SIL SIL MAZHAIYE:
Wonderful recording along with excellent Chorus...this is how I would describe this song...CHINMAYEE & SATHYAN have lent their vocals for this song and as mentioned earlier lovely Chorus....you just might remember this song the next time you are getting wet!!
YELLA YELLA AZHAGENNA:
I liked this song as soon as I heard the first time.....by far the peppier of all songs...RANJITH & SUJATHA have done a commendable job in this song....Again the chorus here is worth mentioning...Worth listening to...
THEEPIDIKA THEEPIDIKA:
I would say this song is something like ’’O Mahire’’ from the movie MANMADHAN....Sung by ANUSHKA & PREMJI.....Anushka’s voice sure does give a sensuous feel to this number....The best part about this song is the ’’bits’’ that come between the song or should I say are a part of this song...Yuvan has again tried something new in this song and has sure come up trumps...
YEN KANNODU NENJODU:
My favourite amongst the lot....Sung by YUVAN himself, this song is absolutely complete...somethin interesting is the usage of arabic in the song (i think its arabic...sorry if am wrong) the song has got a completely different feel to it....a cute song I would say not only for the lyrics but also for the way YUVAN has sung it....i would recommend this song if you are driving...
