Betaab was sunny deols first movie which turned out be a success at the box office. The songs were good and acting by sunny and amrita was good.
Well Arjun doesn’t have anything to do with love stories. Sunny deols real mom dies when he was a kid so his father marries bindu who just hates sunny deol because he’s her stepson and he’s a college graduate and can’t get a job. Sunny deols father just ignores all of this. only his sister is the one who cares for him. Sunny falls in love with dimple kapadia.
Sunny gets into a fight with some locals gooons he and his friends beat them up, and their the men of paresh rawal. Who beats up sunny deol father and threatens his family. sunny deols father kicks him out of the house and sunny leaves. Then comes anupam kher a big politician who hates paresh rawal and he asks sunny deol that if sunny deol works for him and kills paresh rawal and his men that he would be doing justice by cleaning up the city.
Sunny deol kills paresh and all of his men. Then he finds out that anupam kher was using him to kill his enemies. Then he gets sunny deol in trouble. Then sunny decides to get revenge.
Performance wise: sunny deol does very good job in this movie. This is his first movie that he played a action hero way back in 1984’s then started getting more offers for action hero later on his movie life. Paresh rawal was a standout as the villain. anupam kher did pretty good as the villain not his best performance though.
