When it comes to movies, I look for a few things. A good plot, believable and likeable characters and a good movie soundtrack. This movie had all three.
The story behind the movie is that theres a giant meteor heading toward Earth. The only way to save the planet is for a crew of people to get on the meteor and blow it into small pieces. The crew they chose was lead by Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) an independant contractor who is an expert in digging through almost anything to get to oil deposits.
They send him and his hand picked crew into space to save the planet.
This had to be one of Bruce Willis best roles. His acting was very convincing and his character very likeable. This movie was so well presented that you could almost get lost in the plot. You could feel the emotions of the people in the movie.
Although the ending could have been better, the movie is still worth watching more than once.
