This summer really wanted to experiment with drinks that cool the body down and which are good for health.Kokum kadhi or Sol kadi is what I felt was best as it was tasty and healthy. So, I wanted a good coconut milk product.I came across Aroy-D Coconut milk 400ml tin on bigbasket.com and thought of giving it a try as squeezing out natural coconut milk out of freshly grated raw young coconuts was too hectic for me and time consuming.
Aroy-D Coconut milk made my life easy I must say as all I had to do was shake the tin can a bit and then just pull the knob like you do for pepsi cans and the whole cover is open without the use of cutter.So, relatively easy to open and just pour the contents in making fish curries and other curries like I do.I also noticed that this brand sells a coconut milk which is too watered down.If that’s ok with you then you may enjoy using it.
I would have preferred a creamier thicker coconut milk and still hunting for a better coconut milk product.Nothing is BPA preservative free, so when they claim that, I do not agree.Overall, my Kokum kadi did turn out tasty and also saved time but I am not sure how healthy it is.There was slight blackish oil at the bottom of the can alongwith the coconut milk so I threw that part.No idea what it was, if anyone knows please let me know.
