I admitted my wife to Artemis Hospital Gurgaon for treatment of typhoid. Major points of concern are:
The doctor prescribed almost all the tests in medical books and for each test hospital charged nearly thrice of what you are expected to pay at a good diagnostics center outside this hospital. Only one of those 9-10 tests made sense.
The nurses were a great pain not because of their attitude but coz they are extremely overloaded. Normal waiting time for nurse is around an hour. Most of the time you end up turning off drip yourself.
If a patient is alone and in severe condition, I can bet he will die waiting for a nurse. 3. The hospital is running a racket of formally over billing in two ways:
A) Selling drugs and medicines of local company who give special MRP packaging to Artemis allowing them to bill some medicines well over normal market price.
B) Over billing the quantity of medicine used. For ex - they charged me 15 bottles of Perfalgan which they used only 8. Each of these bottles costed around Rs. 275.
- Surprisingly the hospital has absolutely no complaint redressal system. They cheated me of Rs. 2000 and refused to return the money inspite of I showing them all the proofs.
Please please refrain from getting trapped in the looks of this hospital.
