Arzoo.com the portal by the reknowned Indian has shut its shutters down. Not even the person behind it must have thought that after his brainwave about Hotmail his new endeavour would fail to make it up to the standards. I don’t blame him for this but the seemingly endless list of dotcoms that popped up one after another during the IT boom.
No strategy, No revenue model and no action plan what else could one have thought about them. The Dot Coms were slated to bust either today or tomorrow. And in this process has whithere away so many other portals which inspite of having a good strategy and plan of action failed because of their seemingly apparent revenue model, i.e., their dependence on advertising for revenues.
But what I believe is this that if the idea is good then all such Dot coms which have closed down today will again live up to expectations when this recession will be over.
