I booked a Bullet Electra on 6th Dec 2013 through ASCO MOTORS, Patparganj, Delhi. At the time of booking, they were so caring, polite and even offered a chocolate to my daughter.
BUT when I went to purchase the bike(in cash), and tried to talk of a little discount, they frowned just like I had asked for their buffaloes. They wont even shake hands with you if you talk of discount or free accessories on a cash purchase.
MOST IMPORTANT - I was carrying my branded helmet and did not want to purchase from them. THEY say, it is mandatory to purchase a helmet or show us an original bill with TIN no. When I asked to reduce helmet amount as I had already got 5 branded helmets at home, they said - If you purchase accessories, we will adjust helmet price in that(AND THOSE IDIOTS wont need any original bill in that case).
AFTER MUCH negotiation, I clearly realized they were trying to force their accessories on me including helmet, alloy wheels and gear. They sell the accessories at price more than car dealers charge for cars.
Now coming to the registration no., I asked if I can get a choice of just 2-3 numbers, a reply came straight as NO. The number is not on choice. Then one of the staff told me they can give me a VIP number on 12k. Wow.
I wish to send this message to Royal Enfield that I agree their name and brand matters, BUT EQUALLY - their DEALERSHIP MATTERS. There is nothing like FEEDBACK FORMS at the centers so that customers can just go to HELL. Way to go RE.
Regards,
Sundeep.
