Ashapurni Mandir

Ashapurni Mandir is an old temple situated at Pathankot in Punjab. A lot of devotees throng the temple to pay obeisance to the goddess.


It is said that Mata Ashapurni is very powerful and fulfils all wishes of the followers. Everyday kanya pooja and special pooja is held and free meals are offered to devotees at Ashapurni Mandir. Mata temple is filled with mantras and holy chants which refreshes the mind. The main festival celebrated here is the Navratra Mahotsav. The temple is particularly worth a visit during this festival. The temple is open from dawn to dusk. It can be visited at any time of the year.


Ashapurni Mandir is a must visit along with family while in Pathankot. Other interesting sites in Pathankot are the Pracheen Kali Mata Mandir, Raghunath Bhuvaneshwari temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Gurudwara Shri Singh Sabha, Ranjit Sagar Dam Colony, British era churches on Mission Road, Major RS Rana Memorial Park, Nurpur Fort and Sahpurkandi Fort.


Reaching the temple is no big task as it is quite close to the city railway station and bus stand. Auto rickshaws or bicycle rickshaws are available at cheap rates from the city centre to Ashapurni Mandir.
