Being a Vaidyaratnam Dealer at Koratty for nearly 2 years, let me share my bitter experience that may help other Ayurvedic Tradition lover like me to not invest through Vaidyaratnam by taking their Dealership.
Firstly, they dump all the junk products worth One Lakh on the Dealer. According to their Sales Manager, they do not have policy for Purchase Return from Dealers. As per law, a retailer must take the purchase return from the customer. But the company do not accept it. So the Dealer alone has to accept the loss.
Secondly, their policy allow to assign 3 Dealers in the same place.(Example: Koratty) The outcome is none of the dealer is profitable. But Vaidyaratnam is profitable by dumping Three Lakhs worth products on 3 Dealers.
Thirdly, they do not allow to keep other company medicines. That is not practically possible while running an Ayurvedic Medical Shop.
Fourth, The Sales Team achieve their monthly target by pressurising Dealers to purchase more products; but they reluctant to visit Doctors to prescribe their medicines. They know only to squeeze their Dealers.
I raised all the above concerns to Sales & Marketing Head but in vain. They are concerned about their profit not the Dealers loss. I realise that most of the dealers including me are not depending the Shop as their main sourse of income. So they get fed up dealing with these guys and force to run the shop just to finish the stocks.
I feel no wonders ‘Shut Down of Vaidyaratnam’ when I read in newspapers in future. The Sales & Marketing Team can take the full credit of the same.
Never recommend Vaidyaratnam Dealership.
