Asianet is one of the first private malayalam channels and it still goes on strong.The main reason for this strengths the shear amount of serials they broadcast on the daily basis.
There are a lot of fans for these serials like house wifes and other women in the house and the channel is exploiting this fan base.The telecast serials starting at around 5 pm to 10 pm or even later. All these are repeated on the next day morning and noon as well.
And so there is no time for other programms to be played.It can’t be said that the channel is completely useless, as there are a few good programs hosted there like kodeswaran and badai banglaw.
But one or two good programs won’t be enough to make it up for tons of serials that has very bad stories played 90% of all the time, in which the channel is active.
