Assam down town University is the top 10 private universities in North-East india. It is situated in the bank of mighty river Brahmaputra. The view is awesome from the University. I am currently studying in Adtu and pursuing by BTech in Computer science. As my opinion the faculty of engineering department is not to good and up to date with the recent technologies. So I would recommend you to take admission in other University if you are go to take admission in Engineering department. But other departments are good.
