Well.basically if I start writing about this college, definitely it will be a book.but I have decided to simmerise few points so that you can get a better outlook of the college.go through the following points-
1.this college was actually established in 1955 and is considered as an renowned college of assam.previously , the exams of this college were conducted under GU but from the last year the exam controlling board has been moved to ASTU.
2.This college has almost every department of Engineering starting from Civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, electronics and telecommunication, instrumentation, industrial production, computer science and engineering etc.you need to clear the govt.conducting exam CEE to get admission in this college.
3.not only engineering, but this college lso have computer application course like MCA also.and in case of engineering, you can join this college even if you complete your diploma course in electrical, mechanical and civil Engineering.
4.the college has got lab facilities ( ofcourse for every department) , library of it’s own, four big playgrounds( infront of hostel 4, hostel 5, hostel 6 and hostel 1) .
5.annual techno cultural festival pyrokinesis is organized every year during the starting of the year( specially between February-march) .and from time to time, many things like seminars, open mic session, conference are organized by respective departments of the college.
6.the college also have post graduation facilities for eg, in civil engineering, you can do post graduation from geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering etc.
