In fact I have been to Assam State Museum more than one time- first just for the sake of visiting it; and second for assisting a friend to collect data on the Assam history.
It is located near the District Library and the famous Dighali Pukhuri. The Museum is divided into different sections and the large building is comprised of two stories. It retells the story of many incidents of the rich Assamese culture including the rule of Ahom dynasty and so on. The government should be thanked for their endeavor to preserve the heritage of Assam and north-east Indian in this form.
The Museum can be visited after paying an entry fees of Rs. 20.
