Assault on Precinct 13- While it’s by no means a masterpiece, this is an edgy and exhilarating re-imagining of a 70’s cult classic.

He’s in charge of the last shift at a must-close-at-midnight cop shop, where Laurence Fishburne is an ultra-heavy, ultra-cool prisoner in custody.
Naturally, when the villains from Psychos R Us turn up to demolish the station he forms an uneasy alliance with his captor.
Thankfully, Larry has shed several stone since the Matrix and he’s charismatic and believable as a good baddie.There’s genuine chemistry between him and Hawke.
The hand-held cinematography employed here helps to give a documentary feel to the whole drama and builds suspense in the same way it did in the Bourne Supremacy.
And when the action comes kicking in, you really can’t help but be carried along.
This is both tense and spectacular, and if you enjoyed The Italian Job II, you’re bound to enjoy this.
