Used our services for recruitment support by signing up at a lower cost with the agreement that they will pay in 50% of the payment in 20 days and the balance in 60 days. Its been 5 months now and each one come up with their own reasons for not paying:
Gopalakrishnan - Supposedly the HR Manager agrees to all the terms to get the cost benefit and when asked for payment refuses to pick our calls and respond to mails. If we manage to get to him somehow, gives a helpless face - which in fact by working here, he is.
Ganesh - Supposedly the CFO, pretty sensible to deal with, however at his designation does not have the approving authority to clear our payments - so directs us to the Managing Director.
Rajasekaran - Guess what - he is the Managing Director, initially puts up a busy schedule excuse - understandable, as he is the Managing Director, but then we realize that this is one way of delaying payments as these excuses kept coming every other time and the time-gap to arriving at a solution is normally a week or two. Would have been fine if there was an actual solution, But NO, we are put back and forth between the finance team and the MD. This goes on for a month and then discloses that their company policy is to clear payments after the candidate completes 6 months of employment, which in my 15 years of recruitment is unheard of.
Not sure why the HR Manager who is the first person to know such policy exists is unaware of the whole thing and uses our services and does not have one good reason for not releasing our payments.
So this is what I am dealing with at Astrotech Steels, Tada. A helpless HR Manager, A CFO and a Managing Director who does not own up the lapse / error from his employee and does not intend on paying us after using our services.

Dear Mr.Rajasekaran,
As per our agreement it is clear that the replacement period is 60 days and the candidate has completed this period as on 7th March 2014, wherein the invoice stands valid and payment is due. The below mail from our end was not intended to threaten and apologies if it sounded so. Our experience in dealing with Astrotech Steels starting with Mr. Gopalakrishnan from January 2014 on payment follow up has only resulted in timelines being given and not adhered to and our calls being ignored at later stages, we then had to approach Mr. Ganesh who in turn directed us to you. All said, the issue is still not closed and we have not received our payment in spite of Astrotech Steels availing our professional services.

Not sure what are the terms you discussed with them, but you should have informed them that our payment terms for all HR Consultants is 6 months, if the candidate(s) remain after probation period.
It’s up to you to resolve this issue and any other pending matters with the concerned vendor(s).
